Rebecca is a junior at Skidmore College where she is a double major in Social Work and Spanish Language & Literature with a minor in Gender Studies. She founded H.I.P.S. in 2010 after recovering from anorexia and completeing various treatment programs at the Renfrew Center, a treatment center for women with eating disorders. As a sopohmore in high school, she began to lead meetings, discussions, and workshops surrouding the isses of body image and eating disorders and continued to do so throughout her high school career. Upon attending Skidmore, she then worked to charter the club at her college with the help of Co-President Mariah Guevin. She is so excited to continue her work educating about topics including body image, media literacy, and mental health in a college setting.
